As in Michigan, Monday is the last day to register to vote for the upcoming election in Florida, which, as it has been in the past two elections, is likely to be a crucial state for both Obama and Republican rival Senator John McCain. The Herald reported that the Obama campaign has been holding a number of events around the state aimed at registering new voters. The campaign estimated that it has registered 135,000 voters in the state to date.
